Improve System Performance / Speed

To improve system performance / speed, we need to first identify the root cause.

Solution 1: Identify and end processes consuming high memory

1. Open the ‘Task Manager‘ by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete

2. Move to the ‘Processes‘ tab and click ‘Memory‘ column header; this will sort processes from high to low. Process with the highest memory usage to appear on top.

3. Select processes with high memory usage and click ‘End Process‘ at the bottom right of the task manager.

*Make sure you do not end system processes and other critical processes such as explorer.exe*

This will increase your RAM and improve speed. You can monitor this by going to the ‘Performance’ tab of Task Manager.
